The Mount Horeb Area Giving Tree, established in 1992 to mirror the Giving Trees in Madison Malls, joined forces with Neighbors Helping Neighbors in June 2023. This initiative provides gifts to families and individuals who meet the criteria for assistance. Referrals are received from the Mount Horeb Area School District, the Madison Area Rehabilitation Center (MARC) at the Mount Horeb site, the Mount Horeb Senior Center, and Ingleside Assisted Living. The gifts are acquired through various methods.

At Miller and Sons Supermarket, a Giving Tree is adorned with over 100 tags, and new ones are added as others are taken. Other small businesses in Mount Horeb also participate by displaying tags. Each tag details the age of the recipient and their specific gift request. In addition, our website hosts a "virtual tree" through Sign Up Genius, featuring approximately 75-100 gift requests catering to online shoppers.
